Here are some questions we are asked at Crafty Dog Cymru.

Are our products suitable for Vegetarians or Vegans?

Yes, there are no animal products in our jams, chutneys or marmalades.

Do our jams contain gelatine?

No, our jams and marmalades are set with fruit pectin, which is made from apples.

Are our products Gluten Free?

None of our products contain Gluten.

Why don’t we say “Gluten Free” on our jars?

Because none of our products naturally contain Gluten, we cannot advertise they are “Gluten Free”. This is because there’s no gluten in them anyway. For example, you can’t advertise Water as Gluten Free as there’s naturally no Gluten in it. Other local authorities Trading Standards may not be as stringent as ours.

Why do some of your chutneys and Chilli Jams contain Sulphites?

Any products with natural vinegars (such as Cider, Red Wine or Balsamic) contain Sulphites, as it is used to stop fermentation during vinegar production.

Isn’t Balsamic Vinegar Sulphite Free?

No, Balsamic Vinegar from Modena contains grape must and so has Sulphites in it.

Can we Export to the EU?

Yes, we can, but the EU buyer would have to pay VAT at their end.

Are our glasses dishwasher safe?

The paint and liners we use are baked to 160 centigrade, and the paint is advertised as Dishwasher Safe to 40 centigrade. However, we would always recommend Hand-Washing.

Can we draw dog portraits?

Yes, we frequently draw/paint dog portraits on glassware or suncatchers/plaques but we need to see photos of the dog before we can confirm it’s possible. Message Us if you’d like to commission something.
